After acknowledging the superiority of Brazilian female models, the world has now discovered that Brazil is also a beacon of handsome men.  From muscular and built men to delicate, handsome looking boys, male models from Brazil are becoming increasingly successful overseas. There are currently over two hundred of them out and about New York, Milan, London and Paris in advertising campaigns, fashion events, and fashion related publications. Five Brazilians are ranked amongst the top 50 male models in the world- Bruno Santos, Eduardo Braun, Tiago Gass, and Luca and Álvaro Jacomossi. The Brazilian female fashion ranking adds just one more name to the list.

Bruno Santos, a 24 year old living in New York City is currently one of the most requested top models around the world. One might wonder why his 6.2 foot figure is so pleasing to the eye. Not even he can say. “I swear I do not know what people see in me” he says humbly. The fact is that Bruno has starred in several million dollar advertisement campaigns – Versace and Armani to name just a few. He was also the cover boy of one of one of the most respected magazines on the planet. Successful enough? No way. Like a good resident from Minas Gerais, Brazil, Bruno has been waiting for his chance to break onto the movie scene. “I have been invited, but I have been considering it”, he says, while taking acting classes with Drew Barrymore’s mother. Bruno has been also developing other projects, and wants to bring to Brazil a social project that funds trade skills programs for impoverished youth. “It is necessary to teach how to fish and not simply give the fish” Bruno says, who started working at a very young age. When he was eight he used to sell popsicles on the streets of Belo Horizonte. Quite the turn of events, wouldn’t you say Bruno?
